The Evelyn 24/01/11

For the very first B.E.E.R.S outing, we chose to visit an old favourite and put our newly created system of categories to the test. Same categories are still in early stages and may be different to the current system

Attendees: Ben & Cam
Price: $15 jug of Carlton - standard
Location: 351 Brunswick St, Fitzroy
Ambience/vibe/character: Scungy Fitzroy regulars and obnoxious young drinkers
Attitude of patrons: Overall good but based upon group interactions
Hotness of patrons: Indie hot. Good
Beer garden/outdoor: On-street seating makes the Evelyn
Decor: Standard. Awesome table video games, pool table. Spire thing out front is cool and also good to sit on when the tables are full up.
Selection: Bog standard, nothing special.
Obscurity: Local celebrity
Specials: Monday/Tuesday $10 jugs. Bandroom, cheap/free music
Service: Fast
Hotness of staff: amazing. Highly recommend Monday night

Overall score: 74
Some bonus points for nostalgia here but a great local spot to hang out with the regular crowd on a Monday or Tuesday.
